Jean Yves Blondou's equipment

Jean-Yves Blondou was the pioneer of assembled roller skating armor. In addition to the roller skates on the soles of his feet, his roller skating armor was equipped with pulleys on the chest, back, elbows and knees. The armor is made of fiberglass. Blondou owned six such sets of roller skating armor before 2012. Because this set of roller skating armor does not have any power system, it relies entirely on his own body to control direction and speed. When he encounters an obstacle midway, he can easily jump over it, then lie on the ground and continue skating.

The blue armor used by Jean-Yves Blondou when he challenged Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie in 2012 was designed by him in 2003 and improved in July 2012. It is also the best set. To this end, Brandu also applied for an international patent for the roller skating equipment he designed and assembled himself, called the "Amo suit", which is a full-body sliding sports suit. This armor weighs about 17 kilograms. It took him two months from design to production and cost more than 50,000 yuan. The entire roller skating suit has 34 pulleys. Its advantage is better braking performance.
