What is the Zhou Dongyu arrangement?

It is a triangular array, also known as RGGB- Delta array. It is the arrangement of RGB sub-pixels on the display screen, which is characterized in that the green sub-pixel is divided into two small parts. The essence of display screen is the combination of three primary colors: red, green and blue. The diodes of the three primary colors are electrified and emit light according to a certain arrangement to achieve the display effect. In the field of mobile phone display, Samsung applied for a patent for its RGBGDiamondPentileLayout, so in order to avoid this patent problem, the screen manufacturer BOE adopted RGGB- Delta sub-pixel arrangement (also known as triangular array) on its OLED screen. Originally used in Huawei Mate20Proboe screen version, Huawei P30Pro and Nubian Z20 also used boe OLED screen, so they all used this "Zhou Dongyu arrangement". The standard arrangement of RGB should be red, green and blue, and each pixel can enjoy the three primary colors of RGB LED separately. However, the materials of different colors of OLED screens are different, and the life of blue pixels often appears to be very short, and they hang up before the red and green strikes. Pentile array and its variant RGGB- Delta array both select blue sub-pixels for adjacent pixels * * *. Compared with the standard RGB array, RGGB- Delta array is only about 77% of the standard RGB array, while Samsung Diamond array is 80%. To tell the truth, the actual resolution of Zhou Dongyu Arrangement in a certain direction will be reduced, the display fineness will be insufficient, and there will be color difference at the edge of the display content. Of course, it also has the advantages of long service life and strong anti-aliasing ability.
