In 2004, Yuhu Town was recognized by the Provincial Science and Technology Department as a pilot unit for scientific and technological innovation of specialized towns (Hu Aishan and Shantou), and in 2006, it became the first batch of specialized towns in Jieyang City. Hu Aishan and Wu CuO made technical regulations for taro production in East Liaoning, which became the local agricultural standard in Jieyang. The successful research on shallow trough cultivation techniques in Hu Aishan has ended the history of deep mountains, high labor intensity and unsuitable cultivation in non-deep sandy land in Hu Aishan. This technical achievement has reached the domestic leading level and won the first prize of Jieyang Science and Technology Progress. Shallow cultivation technology has applied for national invention patent, and shallow trough has been authorized by national utility model patent.
Hu Aishan, green tea and taro, three famous agricultural brands, formed the development pattern of "one village, one product", which promoted the process of agricultural industrialization in this town.
