Zhuhai Saina Technology Co., Ltd. went public.

China's first laser printer with independent core technology was listed in Beijing on February 6th, 20 10. The nearly 30-year technical monopoly of Chinese and American printing giants came to an end, and a real domestic printer appeared on the Japanese desk for the first time. This printer named "Bentu" was developed by Zhuhai Saina Technology Co., Ltd. for four years. Its core components, such as CPU, image processing software, precision optical parts and precision chemical parts, are independently developed. Its key performance has reached the international advanced level, but its use cost is 30% lower than that of similar printers.

Ye Zicheng, director of Peking University China Strategic Research Center, believes that the advent of "Bentu" has opened a new era for the development of China printer industry and provided a strong guarantee for the printing information security in China. It is of symbolic significance in China's transformation from a "manufacturing power" to a "manufacturing power".

Before the birth of "Bentu", the global printer market was monopolized by Japan, the United States and South Korea. In 2009, the total sales volume of printers in China exceeded100000, but all of them came from HP, Canon and Samsung. What blocks China people is the "iron wall" built by multinational giants with patents and business models. At present, Japanese and American manufacturers have more than 200,000 patents on printers and consumables, and use the patent "umbrella" to implement a special business model of "selling machines at low prices and selling consumables at high prices", which basically stifles the possibility of latecomers entering the printer field. In 2006, as the largest manufacturer of general consumables in China, Saina was determined to independently develop laser printing to "kill a bloody road" for the national industry. Wang Dongying, CEO of the company, recalled: "At that time, some foreign colleagues were skeptical and did not believe that we could succeed."

Resisting the pressure, the Seine River began to break through the patent. More than 50 patent "researchers" searched and analyzed more than 6.5438+0.8 million related patents one by one, and built the industry's largest patent technology platform with more than 200 self-owned patents and more than 20,000 authorized patents, breaking through the patent barrier.

In order to speed up R&D, in addition to the Zhuhai headquarters, Saina has also set up R&D institutions in Japan, the United States, Shanghai and Beijing, making rapid progress with an international R&D system; At all costs, the R&D investment of each core component exceeds10 million yuan, and the core system integrated chip is as high as 65.438+0.5 billion yuan.

It took 10 years for the established manufacturers to complete the research and development, and it only took Seine four years: at the end of 2008, the key technology of Seine laser printer made a breakthrough; In June 2009, the first prototype was successfully developed. A year later, after eight technical improvements, Bentu was born and put into mass production. Seine River has also become the only general consumables enterprise in the world that can independently develop printers.

At present, the Senna printer industrial park with a total investment of 2.5 billion yuan has been opened in Zhuhai, and it is estimated that the annual output value will exceed 654.38+0 billion yuan in five years. "'Ben Tu' is just the beginning. In the future, Senna will also launch a full range of multi-functional, high-speed and color laser printers. " Wang Dongying said: "Saina people have the determination and confidence to stand up the backbone of the national printing consumables industry through independent innovation!" At present, Senna Technology is developing the laser printer industry rapidly according to the established industrial upgrading strategy. Relying on the existing R&D team of high-level laser printers with completely independent research and development capabilities, we will develop and launch a full range of products including multifunctional, color and high-speed laser printers in the next three years, laying a solid foundation for the faster development of the printer industry.
