A young man asked the Zen Master how to correct my bad temper.

A long time ago, there was a temple. In the temple, there was a Zen master who was well-known to everyone. He had a very high level of Taoism. Many believers came to admire his virtue and practice skills and came to ask the Zen master for some advice. The question is, this Zen master is Zen Master Pangui. When he preached to the public, his views were clear, he was able to integrate the teachings, and he taught the public in a simple way. Moreover, the believers could easily understand the Zen master's teachings. As long as they had questions raised by the believers, they would be able to answer them. He said everything was convenient one by one and never slacked off.

Once, there was a grumpy young man who got into trouble many times because of his bad temper. He was at fault himself, but he could not get rid of his innate bad habits. When everyone hated him and hit him, he suddenly thought that the Zen master should be able to answer this problem for him and find the knot in his heart.

The next day, I came to the temple and asked Zen Master Pangui for instructions: "Master, I was born with this bad temper. I can't change it even if I want to. I don't know how to change it? Please ask Master." Please enlighten me and answer the doubts I have had in my mind for so many years." The Zen master said, "You said you were born with this bad temper. Please tell me how you were born with it."

< p>The young man said: "Master, I am in a good mood now. I just said that once I encounter something unpleasant to me, my natural bad temper will show up." The Zen master replied: "Oh, you Now when you are in a good mood, your bad temper disappears. It only appears when something happens. In other words, when you are unhappy with someone, your temper is created by yourself. Now you keep telling me that you are born with a bad temper. "Isn't it unfair to blame all your faults on your parents?"

A mellow statement from the Zen master. Young people at this time know shame From then on, he no longer loses his temper for no reason, nor does he say that he was born with a bad temper because he is creating troubles all by himself.

Nothing in the world is innate, not to mention people’s bad habits. Even in nature, all phenomena will arise due to the combination of causes and conditions. Our nature contains all kinds of good and evil. The so-called "When the mind arises, all kinds of dharmas arise, and when the mind dies, all kinds of dharmas perish." As long as everyone has a heart, there is no bad habit that cannot be changed. All dharmas are created by the mind and must be changed from the heart! It is said in "Guiguzi" that the heart is the master of man!
