Is it possible to heat the rear seats of a Tesla without turning on the fan?

Yes, Tesla has a new patent: heating and cooling car seats through liquid.

This patent was published by the US Patent and Trademark Office at the end of September. The idea is to add a layer of intermediate liquid inside the car seat, heat or cool the liquid through a separate system, and Circulation through a pump ensures that the liquid flows evenly inside the seat, thereby regulating the temperature of the seat more effectively.

Seat heating and ventilation in traditional cars are controlled by two different systems. The seats are heated using electric current through internal resistors. However, an increase in seat temperature means more current needs to be passed. The seat ventilation function works on the same principle, using fans under the seat cushions for ventilation. The faster the fan spins, the more air flows over the seat surface, but correspondingly, the more power the car consumes.

Therefore, combining the two functions of seat heating and cooling with a simpler system and replacing the seat resistors and ventilation fans can effectively save power consumption.
