Toyota's Alpha can be said to be the MVP among MPVs. Alpha's huge sales have made many car companies eager to challenge Alpha's status in the car industry.
Recently, a set of new car design drawings have leaked online. This new car that will be launched soon is a pure electric MPV launched by Fengshen, a sub-brand of Dongfeng, called AEOLUS. What is surprising is that Dongfeng Fengshen's pure electric MPV is very similar in appearance to Japan's Toyota Alphard.
Judging from this set of design drawings, although the front design of this MPV is much simpler than that of Alfa, the design of the headlight set and water tank guard are easily reminiscent of Alfa. The design of the roof, waistline, window frames and even the entire car grid on the side of the car are exactly the same as Alfa. The only thing that is less like Alfa is the rear design of the car. This set of design drawings caused a lot of heated discussion after being exposed, and was ridiculed by many media as a "copycat version of Alfa". After all, Dongfeng Motor is not Zotye Motors. It makes a living by copying copycats. Considering the scale of Dongfeng Motor, there is no need to go there. It is a copycat of someone else's product, but the extremely similar appearance of this MPV to Alfa makes it hard to believe that it is purely a coincidence.
However, this set of design drawings has not yet been officially confirmed, and Dongfeng Motor has not yet come forward to explain.
