Tan Tieniu has published 9 books and monographs, published more than 250 papers in major academic journals and international academic conferences at home and abroad, and obtained and applied for 20 patents. The State Key Laboratory of Pattern Recognition, which Tan Tieniu is in charge of, has made great achievements in scientific research. His independent research and development of iris recognition system has broken the situation that only a few foreign companies monopolize this technology. From June 5438 to October 2000 10, the pattern recognition laboratory, as the representative of China, was officially accepted to join the International Telephone Speech Translation Union.
