Huanggang Normal University, referred to as "Huanggang Teachers College" for short, is a full-time ordinary undergraduate college located in Huanggang City, Hubei Province, with the right to award master's degrees.
Huanggang Normal College was founded in 195 as Huangzhoufu Normal School, and has gone through the development stages of Huanggang Rural Normal School, Huanggang Normal School in Hubei Province and Huanggang Normal College. In March 1999, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, the school was upgraded to the "Huanggang Normal College" at the undergraduate level; In October 211, the school was awarded the right to master's degree; In January 214, the school merged with the former Edong Vocational and Technical College.
As of November, 222, official website shows that Huanggang Normal University has three campuses, namely, South Campus, North Campus and West Campus, with a campus area of 2,2 mu. There are 2 teaching colleges offering 72 undergraduate majors, with 19,678 full-time students and 1,182 full-time teachers, including 139 full-time students, 375 sub-senior students, 453 doctors and 5 masters. The school has presided over 4 national natural science foundation projects, 31 national social science foundation projects, participated in 6 national "863" and "973" and national key scientific and technological projects, presided over more than 8 projects of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, the State Sports General Administration, and the Youth League Central Committee, and more than 27 self-funded and social science fund projects in Hubei Province. Scientific research achievements and teaching achievements were awarded 75 prizes at the provincial and ministerial level or above, and 477 invention patents and utility model patents were awarded.
