Universities of Applied Sciences, founded in 1954, is the first high-level applied innovative university named after "applied technology" in China. The school is a doctoral degree awarding unit, selected as the key construction unit of high-level local universities in Shanghai, and the first batch of first-class undergraduate construction leading plans and first-class postgraduate education leading plans in Shanghai universities;
