It is located about 5 kilometers downstream of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge and 13 kilometers upstream of Nanjing Yangtze River Bridge. The bridge connects Jiangbei New District, Jiang Xinzhou and Hexi New City. After completion, it will not take 1 meters from Jiangnan to Jiangbei.

The starting point of Nanjing Yangtze River Fifth Bridge is located in Wuli Bridge in Pukou District, Nanjing, connecting Jiangbei Avenue, passing through the main channel of the Yangtze River, Meizizhou and Jiajiang, and finally reaching the south bank of Jiajiang, connecting Jiangshan Street. The length of the whole line is about 1.3 kilometers. The standard of two-way six-lane first-class highway is adopted, and the driving speed of different sections is different. The design speed of subgrade and bridge section is 1 kilometers per hour, and the design speed of tunnel section is 8 kilometers per hour.

The main bridge of Nanjing No.5 Yangtze River Bridge is 1,796 meters long, of which the main span is 6 meters. It is the world's first composite cable-stayed bridge with coarse aggregate reactive powder deck structure and the world's first light steel-concrete cable-stayed bridge. The bridge was built in 217. More than three years have passed, and the handover acceptance meeting will be held on December 2, 22. All the tenders of the whole bridge have passed the quality inspection, laying the foundation for opening to traffic at the end of 22.
