What are the stimulating effects of led lighting on poultry growth?
Birds have superior visual function, which can distinguish the brightness and color of light. How to choose lighting? Experts from China LED Trading Network gave the answer. LED lamps were selected as single-wavelength light sources to illuminate broilers and laying hens, and the effects of monochromatic light on the growth, development and production performance of broilers and laying hens were discussed. The results showed that in the early stage of broiler growth, the green light group gained weight faster and the feed meat was lower. In the late growth stage, the weight gain of blue light group was significant, and the feed-meat ratio was the lowest. The carcass weight, chest muscle weight, thigh weight, calf weight and clean bore weight were higher than those of other light groups (14.39% ~ 19.86%). That is, compared with red light and white light, green light promotes the growth of broilers in the early growth stage, while blue light promotes the growth of broilers in the late growth stage. At the same time, it was found that the weight gain effect of broilers fed under blue-green light was significantly higher than that of broilers fed under red light and white light. The above results show that monochromatic light can significantly affect the growth and development of chickens. Different wavelengths of light will affect the behavior of broilers, for example, broilers fed under red light and white light are sleepy, while broilers fed under blue light and green light keep eating for longer. This may be the reason why the body weight, chest muscle weight, thigh weight, calf weight and clean bore weight of broilers fed under blue-green light are significantly higher than those of red light and white light groups.
