How to make meritorious service and reduce sentence in prison?

The prison implements a scoring assessment system, and the daily labor performance is quantified as the daily score. At present, the prison scoring system is that when the score reaches a certain point, it can be changed into one praise, and then at least four praises can be accumulated, so I can apply to my prison for commutation.

Meritorious service and commutation during serving a sentence should focus on the following aspects.

First, abide by the rules and regulations.

When entering a prison, the first thing is to abide by the rules and regulations of the prison. This regulation is more detailed, so I won't go into details. The most important thing is not to violate the discipline seriously, because once you violate the discipline seriously, the score for this month will be gone, and the score for one month will be gone. A small total score will affect the mitigation of criminal punishment. The key is that the advanced qualification will be gone at the end of the year. Therefore, when you enter a prison, you must be careful not to touch the horizontal line of prison discipline.

The most common serious violations of discipline in prisons are: overstepping the cordon, swearing, possession of contraband, failure to work and rest on time, leaving the joint number, stealing, spreading reactionary remarks, giving nicknames to the police and so on.

The second is to actively work and study, and earn more points.

At present, commutation and parole in prisons are basically measured by scores, which means that the condition for commutation is that the scores are enough. According to Article 78 of the Criminal Law, a criminal sentenced to public surveillance, criminal detention, fixed-term imprisonment or life imprisonment may have his sentence reduced if he consciously abides by prison regulations and receives education and reform during the execution period, and if he truly repents or makes meritorious deeds.

As for observing the prison regulations, receiving education and reform, and indeed showing repentance, it is not enough to say one word, but to refine it into several measurement indicators. Take labor as an example. Every criminal has a daily work quota. Only by working actively, fulfilling the quota and reaching the quality standard can he get a daily labor score. If the monthly labor score accumulates to a certain extent, he can combine other aspects and get an effective score according to the grade. If the effective score accumulates to a certain extent, he can be commuted and paroled. No extra points, commutation and parole are all empty talk.

In addition, the study exams organized by prisons should be taken seriously, and the test scores are also linked to points.

Third, there are other meritorious deeds.

These meritorious services are hard to find, and grasping them well is of great benefit to commutation and parole. For example, in production, put forward reasonable suggestions on production technology; In the aspect of reform, actively report criminals who violate discipline seriously to avoid vicious accidents; Blackboard, newspaper, website, etc. It is actively funded by the prison.

If you have a high level of writing, you can write a manuscript, which will be submitted to some newspapers and periodicals after being examined by the prison authorities, to publicize the line, principles and policies of the party and the government in prison work, and to talk about the experience of positive prison reform. If you publish it, you will get a special reward. If you win the lottery, you can get more rewards.

In short, as long as we abide by the law and actively reform, more than 90% of prisoners will have the opportunity to commute their sentences and be released on parole. Regarding commutation, the law stipulates that commutation shall not exceed half of the original sentence. In judicial practice, the average performance can be reduced by about one sixth, one quarter and one third. Of course, if the sentence of the original trial is less than two or three years, the chances of commutation are obviously less because of the long detention time before admission.
