Landscape Structure of Yunwu Bridge

The vertical height of the cliff is 718m, and the cantilever length is 26.68m, which is more than 5m longer than the cantilever covered bridge with a length of 21.34m in Colorado Grand Canyon, USA, making it the longest cantilever glass covered bridge in the world.

Yunzhe Bridge is built on the top of the cliff, with an altitude of 1 123 meters. The trail is about 3.4m wide and 50m long. It extends out of the cliff in the shape of "the flower of the cliff". The two small observation platforms in the cliff walls on both sides are like two leaves, and the subjective landscape bridge echoes the opposite Xianchi Mountain from a distance like a flower. All-glass material, the ground and guardrail are completely transparent, and there is a canyon more than 700 meters deep at the foot. When tourists step on the covered bridge, no matter before, after, left and right, or up and down, there is no line of sight, just like "floating in the air".

The floor and guardrail of the covered bridge are all three layers of tempered laminated ultra-white glass. The bearing capacity of the glass itself is very good, with a bearing capacity of 9 tons per square meter, the whole covered bridge can bear almost 1000 tons. The high-strength glue in the glass has a very high safety factor. Even if the glass is broken, the weight of people and glass can be supported by the tension of glue alone, and people will not collapse when stepping on it.

The cantilever part is designed without steel frame support. It is a 50-meter-long steel box girder, one end of which protrudes 26.68 meters from the cliff, and the other 20-meter-long steel box girder is anchored in the rock mass with a diameter of 1.5 meters. Only this 50-meter-long steel box girder will use 900 tons of steel. It can be said that every step of tourists enjoying the scenery of covered bridges is supported by many advanced technologies and even patents.
