What are the requirements for applying to become a patent attorney?

The application requirements for patent attorneys are as follows:

(1) Persons with full capacity for civil conduct (generally speaking, they are over 18 years old).

(2) Obtain a nationally recognized college degree or above in science and engineering, and obtain a diploma or degree certificate. (Here you can choose between a diploma or a degree certificate, which means that basically science and engineering students who have graduated from a college or an undergraduate degree meet this requirement).

Patent Agent Examination Subjects and Time:

The Patent Agent Qualification Examination implements a national unified proposition, and the range of propositions is based on the "2020 Patent Agent Qualification Examination Outline". The outline will be published on the website of the State Intellectual Property Office.

The examination is divided into three subjects. The names of each subject and the examination time are as follows:

Patent legal knowledge: November 14, 9:00-11:30.

Relevant legal knowledge: November 14, 14:00-16:00.

Patent agency practice: November 15, 9:00-13:00.
