The School of Civil Engineering of Hunan University of Science and Technology has seven teaching departments, including geology, architectural engineering, road and bridge engineering, geotechnical and urban underground engineering, municipal engineering, engineering mechanics and engineering management. On-line monitoring and vibration control of long-span bridges, design theory of prestressed concrete box girder, composite structure, high-performance concrete, deep foundation pit monitoring and support, mine sewage treatment, geological disaster control, metal deposit deposition environment and prospecting, unconventional gas deposition characteristics and detection, etc. have formed their own characteristics, and have achieved a series of achievements and produced great social impact.
