Taber Internet of Vehicles reached a patent cross-licensing agreement with Huawei.

Auto sankei learned that Taibo Car Networking Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. and Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. announced a patent cross-licensing and related cooperation agreement, which covers the global patent licenses of both parties in the field of intelligent networked vehicles.

At the same time, Taber became the first domestic first-class supplier enterprise of vehicle networking to obtain standard essential patent SEP (Standard Essential Patent) and a series of related technology licenses in Huawei's communication field. SEP refers to the patent that must be used to implement a technical standard. The standard necessary patent license contained in this agreement covers intelligent networked vehicles with wireless connection function.

After the agreement is reached, Taber's products will be globally licensed by Huawei's standard essential patents in the above technical standards, and the whole vehicle enterprises using Taber's products do not need to pay the patent licensing fee repeatedly.
