(3) The application documents of the application can be used as the basis for the applicant to request copies of the application documents from the date of acceptance. Before the application documents are destroyed within the prescribed time limit, the applicant may request the Patent Office to issue a copy of the application documents according to the prescribed procedures.
(4) The application documents are the basis for the applicant to make modifications in the subsequent review procedures. That is to say, the applicant’s future modifications to the patent application shall not go beyond the scope of the accepted description and claims, or beyond the scope of the accepted design pictures or photos.
