As of the end of 2013, the Advanced Institute has independent intellectual property rights in low-cost health and high-end medical imaging, robots and intelligent systems, electric vehicles, digital cities and high-performance computing. and international competitiveness continue to emerge.
In terms of vertical projects
, a total of 1,358 projects (including horizontal ones) have been pursued, with a funding of 1.487 billion yuan. Among them,
288 national-level projects, with a funding of 282 million yuan

In addition, a number of major national scientific research projects have been approved: Shenzhen’s first 973 project and the first national major Special projects, participated in 3 major national special projects; 3 National Natural Science Foundation Outstanding Youth Projects, 1 national major scientific research instrument and equipment development project, 5 key projects, and 2 major international cooperation projects; in terms of national science and technology resources platform, established 1 National Development and Reform Commission public technology platform, 1 national and local jointly constructed engineering laboratory and 1 Ministry of Science and Technology international cooperation platform.
As of now, the Academy has a total of 941 research projects (including 840 horizontal and vertical projects), including 47 national-level projects (excluding National Natural Science Foundation of China), 221 National Natural Science Foundation projects, and Chinese Academy of Sciences projects. 56 projects, including 47 projects in Guangdong Province and 440 projects in Shenzhen City.
In terms of horizontal projects

Papers and patents
Published in the past five years There are more than 3,700 professional papers of various types, including more than 1,300 SCI indexes and more than 1,600 EI/ISTP indexes.
In the past five years, it has applied for 2,858 patents, of which 86 are invention patents; 28.5 have been transferred and converted. It has been recognized as a national enterprise and institution intellectual property pilot unit.
