The Academy of Engineering regards shale gas exploration and development as a new breakthrough in petroleum engineering technology, and has achieved a major breakthrough in supporting technologies for unconventional oil and gas engineering. Under the unified organization of the Science and Technology Department of the Group Company, with the strong support of the Oilfield Division and the Petroleum Engineering Company, the Academy of Engineering has set up a leading group for shale gas scientific and technological research since 20 1 1, which has undertaken 75% of the key shale gas engineering technologies of China Petrochemical Company and carried out more than 20 technical research projects.

A number of core technologies have made breakthroughs, and more than 50 invention patents have been applied, basically forming a shale gas engineering supporting technology with 2000-meter horizontal well drilling and completion and 20-level fracturing capacity. The Institute has basically formed supporting technologies for unconventional projects with independent intellectual property rights. It has broken through the technical problems such as obtaining rock mechanical parameters of shale formation, fracture identification and prediction technology, and description of shale reservoir engineering characteristics. The performance of the self-developed oil-based drilling fluid system with low viscosity and high shear has reached the international advanced level, and it has been successfully applied in 3 wells, including 2HF well in Ye Peng, creating the longest record of horizontal displacement of shale gas horizontal wells in China. The Institute also participated in the national strategic plan for shale gas development, which was well received by relevant state departments and became an outstanding representative of shale oil and gas development of China Petrochemical Company.

Create characteristic technology and provide environmental protection support

Characteristic technology is a unique skill in petroleum engineering technology. The Institute of Engineering combines indoor research with the actual situation of the well site, and conducts research and exploration for different areas, different strata and different well conditions, forming a unique technical series. Some characteristic technologies have played a technical supporting role in realizing green exploration and development.

In terms of special drilling fluid technology, the ultra-high density cement slurry system of 3.00 g/cm3 was independently developed, and the application density in Guanshen 1 well reached 2.82 g/cm3, setting a world record. The self-developed PFL, an anti-high temperature filtrate reducer, has solved the technical problems such as high temperature aging of drilling fluid system and difficult control of water loss. The new polyamine drilling fluid system independently developed has been applied in more than 20 wells in Tahe and Yubei. An environment-friendly drilling fluid system with temperature resistance 150℃ was developed and successfully applied in Xinjiang and Shengli work areas. The developed speed-up drilling fluid system has been successfully applied in Tahe Li 602 well, Jin 1-2 well and Shunbei 1 well, ensuring the speed increase of Shunbei 1 well by 54%.

Among the cementing technologies in complex formations, the developed low-density cement slurry cementing technology has been applied to Yuanba 104H, QG4 and other 15 wells around Tahe, and the excellent and good rate of cementing quality is 100%. Research and development of styrene-acrylic emulsion anti-gas channeling cement slurry system, high-temperature anti-gas channeling emulsion cement slurry cementing technology, high-density cement slurry cementing technology and pulse vibration cementing technology have solved a number of key cementing technical problems.

In the aspect of leakage prevention and plugging technology, aiming at the problems of stratum leakage, collapse and block falling in northwest, north and southwest regions, a low-density chemical plugging agent was developed and applied to the Ordovician malignant leakage stratum in Tahe, and the success rate of plugging was increased by 50%. A new plugging technology of chemical thixotropic consolidation was developed, which solved the plugging problem of more than 20 malignant lost wells such as Tahe TH 1 231,Shunxi No.2 and Chengde Yuanji1.

In addition, the comprehensive performance index of electromagnetic wave measurement while drilling technology developed by them has reached the international advanced level. In terms of rotary percussion drilling technology, various specifications of hydraulic jet impactors suitable for medium and hard formations have been successfully developed, which has improved the rock breaking efficiency and been applied in more than 60 wells at home and abroad, and the results have reached the international leading level. In terms of logging data engineering and drilling application technology, the self-designed online oil and gas detection system has reached the international advanced level, established the domestic leading logging interpretation methods for complex reservoirs with low resistivity, low permeability and fractures, and developed the logging interpretation technology for two-dimensional horizontal wells. In terms of information and petroleum engineering decision-making technology, the drilling engineering decision-making support system is developed, and the network collaborative conference system and the drilling decision-making support application library are established. The developed fracturing data acquisition and transmission module has good application effect, which lays the foundation for establishing an integrated petroleum engineering decision-making support system.

Undertake national projects and play a greater role.

In the research of national projects, the Academy of Engineering has carried out research on key technologies of marine carbonate oil and gas wells and complex formation wells in oil and gas-rich areas in the Middle East, and achieved a number of important results.

"Research on key technologies of marine carbonate oil and gas wells" has made breakthroughs in six aspects: wellbore environmental monitoring, medium and large plugging, safe and rapid drilling, anti-corrosion and low-density cementing, staged acid fracturing of ultra-deep horizontal wells, and secondary reservoir identification. The research results of this stage have been tested and applied in Xinjiang and Sichuan. The success rate of one-time plugging is 93%, the hole diameter enlargement rate in complex formation is reduced by more than 50% compared with last year, the average drilling cycle in Makaiti area is shortened by 34.5%, the success rate of staged acidizing and fracturing in Tahe ultra-deep horizontal well is 100%, and the coincidence rate of logging interpretation in second-class reservoir is over 80%. Cementing technology in complex formation has reached the field application level.

The research on "Key Technologies of Wellbore in Complex Strata in Middle East Oil-gas-rich Area" has formed "four technical series, ten core achievements and six innovative contents". The timely application of the research results in Iran Yada Oilfield has effectively solved the complex problems such as differential pressure sticking, increased the penetration rate by 37%, initially solved the complex asphalt problem, and achieved the success rate of 100% acid cementing and reservoir reconstruction, with remarkable economic and social benefits.

The research of "Model 3000 fracturing equipment research and development and application demonstration project" has formed the prediction and optimization method of fracturing, acidizing/acid fracturing construction parameters for different types of ultra-high stress reservoirs. A complete set of field simulation software for fracturing equipment has been developed, and the fracturing operation specification for 3000 fracturing truck sets in unconventional oil and gas reservoirs has been formed. It has been successfully tested in the rubber industry 1-3HF well and Yeding 2 well, and the overall fracturing design and construction comprehensive rate is over 90%.

Basic prospective research. Other disciplines related to engineering technology were investigated and transplanted. More than 40 researches in four directions, including new theories and methods based on geological environment identification, intelligent technology based on closed-loop control, new materials and new systems based on chemical monomers, and risk-free drilling technology based on technical information, have laid the foundation for the exploration and research of new technologies and new processes.
