Is transfluthrin 0.03% harmful to cats?

Methrin is an insecticide commonly used in agriculture and horticulture. Based on current research and data, transfluthrin does have some toxicity to cats, so extreme caution is needed when using or coming into contact with this substance.

The toxicity of transfluthrin mainly manifests as neurotoxicity and liver toxicity. If cats are exposed to permethrin, they may develop the following symptoms: difficulty breathing, tremors, weakness, increased body temperature, loss of appetite, abnormal liver function, etc. In severe cases, it may even lead to toxic liver damage and exacerbation of neurological symptoms.

Therefore, in order to protect the health of cats, we recommend that cats be kept away from transfluthrin as much as possible. When using this insecticide, make sure cats stay away from the treated area and tools and surroundings are cleaned thoroughly after application to reduce toxic residue. If a cat is accidentally exposed to this substance, it should be taken to a veterinarian immediately for examination and treatment.
