The central authorities integrated the responsibilities of the National Development and Reform Commission, the functions of the Commission of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense except nuclear power management, and the functions of the Ministry of Information Industry and the State Council Press Office into the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In addition, the National Bureau of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense will be established and managed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
