What was Edison's first patent?

Edison was a famous American scientist. In his long career of invention, he has produced thousands of new products suitable for people's needs, such as electric lights, movies and phonographs. During his lifetime, he obtained 1 180 patents, so he was called "the king of inventions".

At the age of 2 1, Edison worked as a telegraph operator in Boston company. When he copied the news telegram, he found that every time the parliament passed a resolution, it always had to vote, count and check repeatedly, leaving all the good times idle. So he used his spare time to study experiments repeatedly and finally came up with an invention-voting recorder.

1In the winter of 867, Edison submitted a patent application to the US Patent Office. One day in the middle of the second year 10, he anxiously opened the reply from the patent office. The letter said that his patent application passed the examination and was allowed to register. The registration number is 90646, and the registration date is 1868 10/month1day. This is Edison's first patent.

Edison was surprised when his first patent was approved, so he immediately raised enough money to go to Washington to publicize his patent.
