The college now has five departments of applied chemistry, information and computing science, light chemical industry, applied physics and applied mathematics, two provincial experimental teaching demonstration centers (construction sites) of physics and chemistry, two research institutes of applied chemistry and water treatment technology, college offices, college student work offices and other institutions. The college has doctoral programs in applied chemistry, three master programs in applied chemistry, organic chemistry and analytical chemistry, and five undergraduate majors in information and computing science, applied mathematics, applied physics, applied chemistry and light chemical industry.
There are currently 39 faculty members/kloc-0, including 4 professors/kloc-0, 32 associate professors, 4 doctoral supervisors and 25 master supervisors. It mainly undertakes the teaching tasks of three basic courses and professional basic courses of mathematics, physics and chemistry for all kinds of students at all levels in the school, as well as the education and training of doctoral students, master students and undergraduates in our college. At present, there are 99 students1person, including doctoral students 16, master students 165438 and undergraduates 8665438.

In terms of teaching, the college insists on taking teaching as the center, strengthens the construction of teaching staff and continuously improves the teaching level. In recent years, a number of provincial-level and school-level excellent courses such as College Physics, Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry, Probability and Mathematical Statistics, Hydrochemistry and Water Treatment Technology have emerged, and a number of "Top Ten Teachers" and "Teaching and Educating People" such as Wang Jintang and Paul Yu Pin are advanced, and a large number of teachers have won prizes in education and teaching reform, young teachers' teaching competition and multimedia courseware evaluation.
In terms of student work, the college adheres to the working concept of "love and responsibility" and constantly creates a new situation in student work. All kinds of students have made great achievements in the national mathematical modeling competition for college students and the advanced mathematics competitions in national english contest for college students and Jiangsu provinces, among which many students have won many national scholarships, provincial government scholarships and various scholarships inside and outside the school. The students in the school have a good style of study. The postgraduate entrance examination rate and employment rate have always been in the forefront of the school, and many people have studied in the United States, and obtained graduate students from well-known institutions and universities such as Chinese Academy of Sciences and Nanjing University.
In terms of scientific research, during the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, the National "863" Project 1 item, two key scientific and technological projects in the Tenth Five-Year Plan period, two key scientific and technological projects of the National Natural Science Foundation, one key scientific and technological project of Jiangsu Hehe Petrochemical Corporation 1 item and nearly one horizontal scientific research project 100 item were completed. He has successively won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award 1, the second and third prizes of National Petroleum and Chemical Industry Association 1, and the third prize of Jiangsu Science and Technology Progress Award 1. He has obtained dozens of patents authorized at home and abroad, published more than 300 papers in academic journals at home and abroad, including nearly 60 papers by SCI and EI, and obtained scientific research funds1.
In terms of discipline construction, through the formulation and implementation of the discipline construction development plan, the level of various disciplines has been continuously improved, and the applied chemistry specialty has been rated as a brand specialty. Through the introduction of talents and the establishment of competition mechanism, a large number of outstanding young and middle-aged backbone teachers stand out. All these provide a solid guarantee for the further development of the college.
