If Zotye wants to turn over a new leaf, give up the cottage strategy and take the road of positive development, it actually starts with A40 model. Because of its coaching change, Zotye A 16(TS5) and B2 1 models were released late. At the beginning, Ma Jun S700 simply changed the vertical air intake grille of A40 into a T-shaped grille. Today, A40C still continues the positioning of seven cross-border SUVs, but the front of the car is still relatively large. The body part is still rich in MPV style, and the cross-border combination of SUV kits such as roof rack and body enclosure.
The whole front of A40C is square and thicker than that of Ma Jun S700, and it looks obviously more like an SUV. The brand-new Zotye logo, with chrome trim extending to headlights on both sides, is a brand-new design element in TS5 and B2 1 models. Flat new headlights are expected to be equipped with full LED light source, and the air intake grille is trapezoidal. The imitation grille decoration on both sides of the front bumper is more sporty and runs through the horizontal LED front fog lights.
The side of the car body remains basically the same, including details such as chrome trim on the fender. The rear of the car has not changed much, the hidden D-pillar remains the same, the taillight group has just been replaced by a more three-dimensional lamp shell, and more LED light sources have been rearranged, but the outline of the lamp body remains unchanged. The rear bumper cancels the exposed decorative exhaust pipe, but adds a black surround and a silver lower guard plate to enhance the SUV momentum.
The interior part has been redesigned. Although it is still a conjoined LCD instrument and multimedia screen with double 12.3 inch screens, the whole center console has changed from the T-shaped style of Ma Jun S70 to the horizontal stretching layout of A40C. The air conditioning control panel was moved above the middle tuyere, and the whole tuyere also had a penetrating chrome trim to outline the conjoined style. In addition, the auxiliary instrument table, the rear cup holder and the armrest box have also been modified accordingly.
The whole Zotye automobile is doing subtraction now, Ma Jun has existed in name only, and Hanteng automobile, which is difficult to become a climate, is also developing independently, while the original Zotye Damai series is basically transferred to Mahayana. It can be said that the L 10 model that reached the peak of imitation finally gave up the planned Zotye T900 identity and put it in the newly established Hanlong Automobile. High positioning and high cost are doomed to be a loss-making business.
Zotye's main brand is lean and simple, and it is determined to take the independent and original development route. The well-built A 16 compact SUV is named TS5, which also means the birth of a brand-new vehicle system, followed by a medium-sized SUV code-named B2 1, which is also highly original. Then there is this new car, code A40C. Because it's just a makeover, the listing process will be faster.
Strictly speaking, A40C can only be regarded as a crossover MPV model. Positioning MPV or SUV depends on the manufacturer. Geely Cargill, whose length, width, height and size are very similar to Zotye A40C, is positioned as an MPV model. In addition to the 2+3 five-seat version and 2+3+2 seven-seat version of Ma Jun S700, Geely A40 also tested the 2+2+2 six-seat version earlier, so it may become the interior layout scheme of the new A40C.
