What is the difference between a hydraulic punch and a mechanical punch?

Difference:

1. Because the hydraulic press works by transmitting static and dynamic pressure, the power equipment can be arranged separately, and multiple cylinders can work together, so that a large tonnage hydraulic press can be manufactured, such as a die forging hydraulic press with a nominal pressure of 7kn. However, due to the strength limitation of parts, mechanical punching machine is not suitable to produce a large tonnage.

2. Mechanical punching machine is a motor that drives the pulley to synchronize to the gear through the shaft, and then uses the crankshaft to make the slider move up and down, thus converting the curvilinear motion into linear motion, with great inertia. Generally, it is divided into one-stage transmission and two-stage transmission.

the hydraulic press uses the stroke of the oil cylinder to complete a straight up-and-down movement, with minimal inertia and shallow stretching function. There is pressure loss when the liquid flows, so the efficiency is low, and the movement speed is slow, which reduces the productivity, so it is not as simple and flexible as the crank press for a fast and small hydraulic punch.
