The first intellectual property court in 2014 was in Beijing. my country's first intellectual property court was established on November 6, 2014, at the Beijing Intellectual Property Court at No. 18 Changhua Road, Haidian District, Beijing. The first president of the Beijing Intellectual Property Court is Su Chi, the first president of the Intellectual Property Division of the Beijing Intermediate People's Court, the country's first intellectual property tribunal 20 years ago. Chen Jinchuan, Song Yushui, Jiang Ying and other nationally renowned and expert judges in the field of intellectual property adjudication all serve in the Beijing Intellectual Property Court.
The court has 4 tribunals, 2 judicial auxiliary agencies, the Technical Investigation Room and the Judicial Police Team, and 1 comprehensive administrative agency. Centralized jurisdiction over intellectual property civil and administrative cases formerly under the jurisdiction of Beijing's intermediate people's courts. In accordance with the spirit of the reform of the central judicial system, the main status of the presiding judge and the collegial panel should be highlighted, and efforts should be made to achieve "let the trial judge make the decision and the referee will be responsible". Among them, the presiding judge implemented a quota system. The first batch of 22 judges was selected, 4 were appointed as chief judges, and 18 were selected through the assessment organized by the Judge Selection Committee in accordance with the principles of fairness, impartiality and openness.
