At present, the first biological toothpaste is developed by the School of Life Sciences of Fudan University. From 1986, Tan, the father of biology in China and academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, led a research team of more than a dozen scientists from Fudan University, which lasted for 15 years and developed a "biological lysozyme" that can dissolve oral bacteria and repair damaged tissues.
In order to apply the scientific research results of "biological lysozyme" to oral health care and benefit more people, the research group and toothpaste enterprises developed a new generation of biological toothpaste by using enzyme-catalyzed curing technology and implanting biological lysozyme into toothpaste as a carrier.
