Due to its own characteristics, lithium ferrous phosphate has low energy density, poor conductivity, relatively harsh synthetic process requirements, unstable product stability and no obvious advantage in price, which greatly restricts its current development. In view of this development weakness, manufacturers should strengthen the research and development of key technologies from the perspective of improving performance, for example, improving conductivity through carbon coating and improving energy density through doping.
Many patent applications for lithium ferrous phosphate in China are low-level repetitive research, while the overall R&D of lithium ferrous phosphate is still in the stage of following foreign technology, lacking substantive innovation and major breakthroughs. Domestic related enterprises should deeply understand the specific contents of patents held by large foreign companies, bypass their patent scope, avoid it, and at the same time find the gap between patent technologies and develop key independent intellectual property technologies. While owning patented technology, we should also strengthen the marketization of patents and avoid technology staying in the laboratory.
