Do you need to apply for a patent to make a film?

Producers, directors and actors who make movies are not technological inventions. They just use the existing technical means, and they just create the plot and content of the movie. You can't apply for a patent, and in fact no one will imitate it and make an identical movie. Movies and other literary and artistic works can be protected by copyright without application. Someone who plagiarizes other people's film works can directly sue.

If there is an innovative invention of film equipment, you can apply for a patent.
