2. The National Patent Agent Qualification Examination is a vocational qualification examination held in China National Intellectual Property Administration, which started at 1992 (Ren Shennian). A patent agent refers to a person who has obtained the qualification of a patent agent, holds a patent agent's work permit and is engaged in patent agency work full-time or part-time. The national patent agent qualification examination is held once a year, generally at 1 1 in more than a dozen test sites across the country. Within three years from the year when a candidate obtains a qualified record of a certain part of the results, if both parts are qualified, the evaluation Committee office will issue a general qualified notice. After receiving the notice that the total score is qualified, candidates apply to the assessment committee. If they meet the relevant provisions of the Patent Agency Regulations after examination, the Patent Agent Assessment Committee will issue the Patent Agent Qualification Certificate.
