Gufang is the brown sugar brand of Gufang Brown Sugar Co., Ltd. in Southwest Guizhou. Gufang Company is the only pure brown sugar producer among nearly 300 sugar-making enterprises in China, the first enterprise in Guizhou Province to obtain food safety QS certification, and the drafting unit of local standards for brown sugar in Guizhou Province. At present, it is the largest producer of traditional brown sugar in China, with several brands such as Gufang, Gufanghong and Gu Hong, and now it mainly deals in Gufang brown sugar series products.
Ancient brown sugar is an ancient sugarcane variety that grows in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau at an altitude of 1 100 meters. Boiled by hand with the sugar boiling technology handed down from the middle of Ming Dynasty, which is consistent with the traditional sugar making method recorded in Tiangong Wu Kai. In the production, the improved string pot ("string pot" won the patent technology of national utility model in 20 13 years) and direct air furnace can retain the warm and nourishing nutrients in sugarcane juice to the maximum extent, which is an essential product for women during menstruation and confinement. Its production technology was listed as a provincial intangible cultural heritage in 20 14, and its production place was approved as a provincial intangible cultural heritage production protection base in 20 16. Its original 6-gram square shape is unique in the market, which makes an important contribution to the quantitative use of sugar in women's menstrual period and is unanimously recognized by consumers and the market.
