Wuhu Vocational and Technical College is the first batch of national demonstration higher vocational colleges in Anhui Province, and it is also an excellent institution for evaluating the talent training level of higher vocational colleges in China. It is the first pilot institution of independent enrollment reform in Anhui Province and the pilot institution of training mode reform of technical and skilled undergraduate talents in Anhui Province. College was founded in 1983, formerly known as Wuhu United University. In 2006, it was listed by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Finance as one of the first 28 construction institutions in the "National Model Higher Vocational College Construction Plan". Based on the four pillar industries of Wuhu automobile and parts, materials, electronic appliances, wires and cables, as well as the demand for talents from strategic emerging industries and new rural construction, the college has carried out in-depth cooperation with many enterprises and innovated the talent training mode of school-enterprise cooperation.
