Since June 30, 2018, nearly 20 tons of Hainan seed-free lychees have been exported to Sydney, Melbourne and other places in Australia through the China-Australia "Air Corridor".
This batch of seedless lychees is produced from the Chengmai seedless lychee planting base of Hainan Luqiao Group Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Hainan Luqiao"). The base has a planting area of ??nearly 12,000 acres and cultivates seedless lychees. There are more than 200,000 fruit trees, with an annual output of nearly 4 million kilograms, accounting for more than 80% of the country's total seedless lychees. It has been approved as a nationally registered export orchard.
Seedless lychee is a new variety developed after nearly 20 years of screening and breeding using wild lychees unique to Hainan Island. Compared with ordinary lychee varieties, seedless lychees taste less residue, more fleshy, juicier, and sweeter.
The whole process of exporting nuclear-free lychees to Australia relies on HNA’s "Haiping Line" smart logistics platform to optimize route resources and achieve coordination of origin resources, air-ground combined transportation, customs clearance, packaging, processing, sorting and other seamless operations. Seamless connection allows customers as far away as Australia to complete all project work without being present.
According to Lin Zhuangsen, Vice President of Hainan Luqiao, Hainan Luqiao strives to promote cooperation with well-known agricultural enterprises in Australia and other countries. Previously, it had reached a cooperation intention with two Australian companies. The two parties will introduce Hainan seedless lychees, Australian patented mangoes and other fruit and vegetable varieties to each other. The company established an overseas sales department this year and continues to expand overseas markets such as Australia, the United States, Malaysia, and Singapore.
Jerry Zhu, head of the Australian distributor Go Fresh Group, said that Australia is home to a large number of overseas Chinese, who have a huge demand for fruits from their hometown, and the prospects for China's fruit exports are very broad.
