What is the symbol of Canada?

Maple leaf, the Canadian flag has two colors: white and red.

Among them, the white on the national flag represents Canada's vast territory, and many parts of Canada are in the Arctic Circle, and white also represents "snow". The red colors on both sides of the national flag represent the Atlantic Ocean in eastern Canada and the Pacific Ocean in western Canada. The red maple leaf in the middle of the national flag represents the hardworking people living in Canada's rich land, and also represents Canadians' love for maple leaves.

Canadian history:

As a British colony overseas, Canada has always been in the contradiction between loyalty to Britain and independence. Because the Commonwealth flag can't truly reflect the local characteristics of Canada, the Canadian Red Army flag appeared later. Before the Maple Leaf Flag was adopted, the Red Army Flag became Canada's favorite national flag substitute.

This Red Army flag was removed from the British Red Army flag. The M-shaped flag symbolizing the Commonwealth was moved to the upper left corner, and a Canadian coat of arms was added to the lower right. After World War I, the Red Army flag was flying everywhere in Canada, and even government buildings adopted it. However, the Red Army flag has never been officially established as the national flag.
