Compared with wheat, corn and rice, potatoes can be stored for more than 15 years at room temperature. Some countries choose potato starch as the starter of strategic storage. Many experts believe that with the rapid growth of the world population, "when there is a food crisis in the future, only potatoes can save mankind." Potato staple food refers to processing potatoes into staple foods that conform to China people's consumption habits and occupy an important proportion in daily life, supplementing the three staple foods of rice, corn and wheat. The storage time of potato in starch state is longer than that of wheat, corn and rice, and it can be stored at room temperature for more than 15 years. Some countries choose potato starch as a starter for strategic storage. The Ministry of Agriculture launched the potato staple food strategy on June 5438+ 10 last year, and our province was listed as one of the first nine demonstration provinces of potato storage in China.
The potato staple food products displayed on the spot come from six enterprises in our province and are also the development enterprises of Li Chengdian. In recent years, enterprises have worked closely with scientific research institutions to develop a large number of products in stock. Take potato noodles as an example. This kind of noodles is mainly made of high-quality potato starch and flour. By adopting a number of patents and technologies, the technical problems of potato noodles, such as difficulty in forming, easy to break and not resistant to cooking, were successfully solved, and the proportion of potato starch was increased to 35%.
According to Zheng Mingya Research Institute, potatoes are called all-round nutritious foods, and their nutritional components are not the highest, but they are also the most complete. The content of vitamins in plants is the highest, reaching 9 kinds. Dietary fiber is rich and fat content is low, which helps to prevent diabetes and gastrointestinal diseases. The content of vitamins such as carotene and B group is also very rich. Adults can meet all the needs of vitamin C by eating 0.5 kg of potatoes every day. In addition, potatoes are also high-quality infant food. In view of the public's concern about the high stock price of potatoes, the state plans to give differential subsidies to the consumption promotion process of these products to make them more acceptable to consumers. On the other hand, potato stocks are only a part of the total solar eclipse products of citizens, and will not form a consumption burden as a whole.
