3. Applicants for a master's degree must obtain a bachelor's degree or equivalent. The graduates of tertiary institutions in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region are limited to those from seven institutions, including the University of Hong Kong, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Polytechnic, the City Polytechnic of Hong Kong, the Hong Kong Church College, the Lingnan College of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Shue Yan College. Applicants for doctoral degrees must obtain a degree equivalent to a master's degree in mainland China or equivalent.
4. Must be able to listen, speak, read and write Chinese.

According to the different requirements of the major of study, the study period for studying full-time master's degree is two to three years, and the study period for studying full-time doctoral degree is generally three years. For the convenience of candidates, the Ministry of Education has set up registration points in Guangdong University Admissions Office, Beijing Institute of Technology, Hong Kong Hong Kong Academic Exchange Center and Macao Foundation.
