What sponge cities are there in China?

Sponge city is a new generation of urban storm and flood management concept, which means that the city has good "elasticity" in adapting to environmental changes and coping with natural disasters caused by rain, and can also be called "water elastic city". The international term is "low-impact development rainwater system construction". Absorb water, store water, seep water and purify water when it rains, and "release" the stored water for use when necessary. From 2065438 to March 2006, the pilot project of Sponge City received financial support.

At present, there are two batches of sponge cities in China with 30 cities, as follows:

The first batch of 16 cities: Qian 'an, Baicheng, Zhenjiang, Jiaxing, Chizhou, Xiamen, Pingxiang, Jinan, Hebi, Wuhan, Changde, Nanning, Chongqing, Suining, Gui 'an New District and Xixian New Area.

The second batch of 14 cities: Beijing, Tianjin, Dalian, Shanghai, Ningbo, Fuzhou, Qingdao, Zhuhai, Shenzhen, Sanya, Yuxi, Qingyang, Xining and Guyuan.

Sponges in sponge cities include rivers, lakes, ponds and other water systems, as well as urban supporting facilities such as green spaces, gardens, permeable pavements and rainwater collection systems. Nanjing Jiuherun has unique patented technology and products in permeable pavement and ecological slope protection, which have been put into the market for many years and achieved good results, and won unanimous praise from all parties.
