Lang Peikun was born in August 1941 in Liuzhou, Guangxi. He has a college degree and is a member of the Democratic National Construction Association. He is a senior engineer at the Wuhan Building Materials Industrial Design Institute of the National Building Materials Administration and a representative of the 10th Wuhan Municipal People’s Congress. From October 1962 to December 1964, he worked in the Building Materials Design Office of the Central South Industrial Architectural Design Institute; from January 1965 to April 1998, he worked in the Wuhan Building Materials Industrial Design Institute; he retired in May 1998. He has been engaged in the design of new building materials factories and special equipment for a long time. He has participated in the design of three foreign aid projects and the design of dozens of domestic building materials factories. Designed and reviewed nearly a hundred pieces of special non-standard equipment. From 1993 to 1997, he was elected as a representative of the Ninth People's Congress of Wuhan City; from 1998 to present, he was elected as a representative of the Tenth People's Congress of Wuhan City. From 1982 to 1998, he served as the main person in charge of the first scientific research project in the national building materials industry to apply high-pressure water jet technology. The project passed ministerial appraisal and published 4 scientific research papers, one of which represented China and was selected for the Beijing International High-pressure Water Jet Symposium. . In August 1998, the product patent (utility model patent) was applied for the high-efficiency rock root loosening machine. In January 2000, it obtained the utility model patent certificate. Each machine can save the company nearly 1 million yuan in raw material costs. Selected papers in November 1998 "High Efficiency Asbestos Loosening Machine" won the Outstanding Paper Award from the Cement Products Committee of the Chinese Portland Society. In July 1997, he applied for a patent (invention patent) for asbestos-free porcelain clay calcium silicate board and its production and manufacturing method. The application was accepted by the Xi'an Patent Office and published in the China Patent Bulletin on January 20, 1998. In September 1999, the patented product (Utility Model Patent) was applied for the hanging paddle plate making machine. In April 2000, the patent (Utility Model Patent) was applied for the dual-rotor high-efficiency asbestos loosening machine, and the Wuhan Patent Office has accepted it. The above-mentioned high-tech and patented technologies have been promoted or will be promoted throughout the country.
