What is the difference between potassium fulvate and humic acid?

There is no obvious difference in appearance between potassium humate and potassium fulvate, and the smell is basically the same. So what's the difference between potassium humate and potassium fulvate? What's the difference between potassium fulvate and potassium humate from mine in yesterday's article? (1) I have explained the difference between potassium humate and potassium fulvate from the first three angles. Today, on the basis of the previous contents, we will continue to explain the difference between potassium humate and potassium fulvate from the last three angles.

Difference between mineral potassium humate and mineral potassium fulvate

(4) Different acid resistance.

The main component of mineral potassium humate is fulvic acid, which can only be dissolved in alkaline solution, while fulvic acid in mineral potassium humate can be dissolved in water, acidic solution and alkaline solution. Therefore, the mineral potassium humate has no acid resistance, while the mineral potassium fulvate has a certain acid resistance, and the general acid resistance limit is in the acidic solution with PH value of 1. According to this characteristic, products can also be distinguished by whether they are soluble in acidic solutions.

(5) Different flocculation resistance.

The average molecular weight of mineral potassium humate is much larger than that of mineral potassium fulvate. Macromolecular mineral potassium humate has weak hard water resistance and will soon sink to the bottom in the form of floc in ordinary tap water. However, after the mineral potassium fulvate is complexed with divalent metal salt ions, it has certain water solubility and certain hard water resistance. Therefore, mineral potassium fulvate is suitable for drip irrigation and spraying, while mineral potassium fulvate is not suitable for drip irrigation and spraying in high water hardness environment.

(6) Different functions and usage methods

Mineral potassium humate and mineral potassium fulvate have similar effects, mainly improving soil, improving fertilizer efficiency, resisting cold and drought, etc.

The ability of mineral potassium humate to improve soil is much higher than that of mineral potassium fulvate, because the complexing ability, dosage and adsorption of macromolecules are better. It can complex ammonium and other cations, improve the nitrogen utilization rate of ammonium-containing fertilizer, and at the same time contact with the fixation of phosphate fertilizer in soil, so that it can be used slowly. Mineral potassium humate is a mixture of macromolecules, which has a sponge space structure with super specific surface area, and can keep the evaporation of water in soil and enhance the drought resistance of plants.

Mineral potassium fulvate is mainly used to regulate plant enzymes to change the physiological activity of plants, such as increasing the permeability of cell membrane, regulating the closure of stomata and promoting the absorption of trace elements. But it did not show the function of improving soil. Mineral potassium fulvate can be used with any other fertilizers and pesticides by drip irrigation or spraying, while mineral potassium humate can be used with several fertilizers such as potassium sulfate and urea because of its acid resistance and complexing effect. However, it is suggested to use mineral potassium humate alone and avoid using droppers with high hard water.
