Article 2 of the Code for Handling Household Registration and Resident Identity Cards stipulates the basic requirements for household registration and resident identity cards.
For the following household registration matters, as long as they meet the policy requirements and the supporting materials are complete, the police of the public security police station shall handle them on the spot:

(3) Changes and corrections of household registration items (except name, nationality and date of birth);
(4) Joint households and joint households;
