What does the Justice Bureau do?

The Bureau of Justice mainly undertakes four functions: administrative legislation, administrative law enforcement, criminal execution and public legal services. It has achieved a comprehensive connection between legislation, law enforcement, justice, law-abiding and law popularization. The Bureau of Justice is the judicial administrative organ. The judicial bureaus at all levels are subordinate to the judicial administrative organs at higher levels, and the judicial bureaus of all districts and counties are under the vertical jurisdiction of the judicial bureaus of districts and cities, and are led by party committees and governments at all levels. Judicial bureaus at all levels are responsible for community correction, resettlement education, legal popularization, lawyer defense, notarization and arbitration within their respective jurisdictions.

According to Article 2 of the Civil Service Law, the term "civil servant" as mentioned in this Law refers to the staff who perform public duties according to law and are included in the state administrative establishment, and their wages and benefits are borne by the state finance. Civil servants are an important part of cadres, the backbone of the socialist cause and the public servants of the people. Article 3 This Law shall apply to the obligations, rights and management of civil servants. Where there are other provisions in the law on the emergence, appointment, removal and supervision of leading members of civil servants, as well as the obligations, rights and management of supervisors, judges and prosecutors, those provisions shall prevail.
