What should lawyers do if they harm the interests of their clients?

Legal analysis: the liability for civil damages in lawyer's practice refers to the civil liability that a lawyer or law firm should bear when the client (or party) suffers losses due to the lawyer's fault (including intentional and negligent) in the process of handling criminal, civil, administrative litigation and other non-litigation business.

Legal basis: Article 54 of the Lawyers Law of People's Republic of China (PRC). If a lawyer practices illegally or causes losses to his client due to his fault, his law firm shall be liable for compensation. After making compensation, a law firm may claim compensation from a lawyer who has committed intentional or gross negligence.
