Jilin Public Security College is the only public security college in Jilin Province. The school was founded in 1949, formerly known as Jilin Provincial Public Security Cadre School. After several changes, in March, 1985, with the approval of Jilin Provincial People's Government, it was transformed into Jilin Public Security College, and the course of public security higher education began. In September, 1993, it was renamed Jilin Public Security College.

1. Registration and enrollment conditions for non-public security majors
The conditions and standards for college entrance examination stipulated in the 2117 enrollment policies of colleges and universities in various provinces shall be implemented.
2. Registration and enrollment conditions for public security majors
(1) Registration conditions: China citizens (registered in Jilin Province) who meet the following conditions can apply for public security majors in our school.
1. Abide by the Constitution and laws of the People's Republic of China;
2. Adhere to the Four Cardinal Principles and volunteer for public security;
3. Graduated from high school;
4. Be in good health and meet the requirements for engaging in public security work;
5. Unmarried and under 22 years old (born after September 1, 1985).
(2) Enrollment conditions
1. Political conditions. Candidates who apply for public security majors in our school must not only conduct political, ideological and moral assessment on candidates according to the relevant provisions of the Ministry of Education, but also undergo political review by public security organs in accordance with the Interim Measures for Enrollment of Public Security Colleges and Universities issued by the Ministry of Public Security. Emphasis is placed on candidates' ideological progress, excellent moral character, decent style, strong legal concept and organizational discipline.

2. Physical condition. Candidates who apply for the public security major in our school should meet the following conditions in addition to implementing the Guiding Opinions on Physical Examination of Enrollment in Colleges and Universities:
(1) Male candidates are generally not less than 1.71 meters in height and not less than 51 kilograms in weight; Female candidates are generally not less than 1.61 meters in height and 45 kilograms in weight, and their bodies are well-proportioned;

(5) There is no infectious disease, the liver function test index must be within the normal range, and there is no hepatitis A, hepatitis B and Australian antibody positive; In the re-examination of admission, students who are found to be suffering from infectious diseases, abnormal liver function tests and positive for hepatitis A, hepatitis B and Australian resistance should drop out of school according to the relevant enrollment policies of the Provincial Admissions Office.
