Will the crime of theft affect my children’s ability to become lawyers in the future?

Those who have been criminally punished cannot serve as lawyers, but there is no prohibition on children whose parents have been criminally punished to serve as lawyers. According to the principle of freedom if the law does not prohibit it, if the parents commit the crime of theft, the children can apply for a lawyer's practicing certificate.

Article 7 of the "Lawyers Law" stipulates that if an applicant has any of the following circumstances, a lawyer's practicing certificate will not be issued:

(1) No capacity for civil conduct or restrictions on civil conduct Ability;

(2) Having received criminal punishment, except for negligent crimes;

(3) Being dismissed from public office or having a lawyer's practicing certificate revoked.
