7. Since 2005, he has participated in the large-scale scientific research project "Scholars' Suggestions on the Revision of the Criminal Procedure Law". The project is led by Professor Li Buyun, a famous jurist, and undertaken by the Institute of Law of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Haidian District People's Procuratorate of Beijing, Beijing Lawyers Association and Guangzhou University. The project includes a nationwide survey of 6,000 people in public security departments, a pilot reform of criminal procedure in procuratorates, strengthening and safeguarding lawyers' rights, and finally forming expert suggestions on the revision of the criminal procedure law, which will be submitted to the Legislative Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress as a reference for legal revision.
8. In June 2005, a seminar on "Theory and Practice of Human Rights" was held for prison directors of 26 prisons in Guangdong Province.
