Research on School of Criminal Justice, East China University of Political Science and Law

Our research foundation is solid and our teaching resources are rich. At present, the college has three periodicals: Crime Research, Juvenile Delinquency and Comprehensive Management Research (internal periodicals). Crime Research is the earliest professional periodical of investigation in China, and Juvenile Delinquency is the only professional periodical at home and abroad. Both journals were rated as the core journals of law by the National Journal Review of 1993. The Comprehensive Management Research is positioned as the window of Shanghai's comprehensive management work. Each issue is submitted to the Central Political and Legal Committee, the Central Comprehensive Management Committee, the political and legal committees of all provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities directly under the Central Government, and the leaders of the comprehensive management Committee, which has had a great impact on the national political and legal system. The college has Shanghai Institute of Comprehensive Management of Social Security, East China University of Political Science and Law Institute of Juvenile Delinquency and other scientific research institutions. It has made suggestions for the long-term stability of Shanghai and even the whole country, and created a social environment for the healthy growth of young people, which has been affirmed by superior leaders many times. The information department of the college has a large number of domestic and foreign materials related to the investigation specialty, as well as rich criminal investigation business materials, including newspapers and periodicals published by the public security, procuratorial, court, customs, taxation, industry and commerce, insurance and other departments and internal discipline business materials, which provides good conditions for teaching and scientific research. The affiliated forensic center of this hospital has provided extensive services for public security, procuratorial departments, courts, law firms and other units for more than 20 years, and has carried out forensic expertise and consulting services such as trace inspection, document inspection and forensic examination. The number of cases examined is increasing year by year, which provides a scientific basis for the investigation and trial of entrusted units from more than 20 provinces and cities across the country and solves many difficult problems in judicial practice.
