Chen Jingkai, male, 1935, from Dongguan, Guangdong. He likes to play with stone shoulder locks since he was a child, and he has developed a good strength. In the early 1950s, he was selected into the weightlifting team and sent to the Soviet Union to study for several months.
Chen Jingkai, who is under 2 1 year old, broke the world record of American athlete C. Wimbaugh in the 56kg clean and jerk with a score of133kg in the Sino-Soviet Weightlifting Friendly Invitational Tournament held in Shanghai on June 7th, 0956. This is the first world record set by China athletes.
Later, he rewrote the men's world records of 56 and 60 kilograms nine times, becoming the most male weightlifter who broke the world record in China.

Chen Jingkai was awarded the title of "Mr. Sports" in China in 1956, and the National Sports Medal of Honor was awarded by the State Sports Commission five times since 1959. 1984 was rated as one of the outstanding athletes in People's Republic of China (PRC) in the past 35 years.
