Peter Moffat, a former barrister, returned to BBC One and showed the audience an exciting high-energy world full of complex ethics. Peter said, "The Royal Lawyer" is a film based on my life experience in court. It contains all the stories about great pressure, difficult choices, ethical dilemmas, the huge gap between personal feelings and professionalism, the persistence of fighting principles, the belief of sacrifice, politics full of politics, sex, alcoholism and so on-court life may be the most abundant field for shooting TV. "Clive Reid is played by Rupert Penry-Jones this time. He is an interesting, talented but dangerous man. He is the same age as Martha, and they were summoned to appear in court together. Both of them are applying for royal lawyers-their performance in court is the key to becoming royal lawyers, and Clive knows it well. Neil Stuke plays Billy Lamb, a senior member of the Chamber of Commerce. He is a multifaceted man, full of contradictions, and controls his own life and lawyer career.

He worships Martha-he likes her direct, clean way of talking and dishonest personality-although privately he thinks she has no chance to become a royal lawyer. Nick Slade is played by Martha's student tom hughes. Nyam Cranch, played by natalie dormer, is Clive's student. Both of them are pushed to the limit, and as quasi-lawyers, they will die if they succeed. Stand up in court and do a good job, or you will forget your expected goal. Only one student can be elected as a member of the inner room at the end of the play. Who could it be? Why him? What will Martha and Clive do to influence this result?
