(2) According to the difference between the external and internal use of documents, legal documents in criminal cases are divided into litigation documents and working documents.

(3) According to the different litigation stages, nature and functions of documents, they can be divided into: filing documents, investigation documents, examining documents of arrest and other compulsory measures, examining documents of prosecution and appearance in court, protesting memories, procuratorial supervision and legal supervision documents, complaints, prosecution and criminal compensation documents, examining and approving documents of extending the time limit for handling cases, defense agency documents and other documents.

(4) According to the division of labor of the business departments of the people's procuratorates and the different sources of cases, they can be divided into criminal procuratorial documents, documents for directly accepting cases for investigation (anti-corruption, bribery and law and discipline inspection), procuratorial supervision documents, documents for prosecution of complaints and appeals (including criminal compensation) and civil and administrative procuratorial documents.

III. Types of courts:

1. Civil judgment documents of people's courts can be divided into civil judgments, civil rulings, civil conciliation statements, civil decisions and civil sanctions decisions according to different ways of judging cases;

2. According to the different procedures applicable to the trial, it can be divided into civil judgments of first instance, civil rulings of first instance and civil mediation of first instance, civil judgments of second instance, civil rulings of second instance and civil mediation of second instance, civil judgments of retrial, civil rulings of retrial and civil mediation of retrial.

3. There are also civil judgment documents made for the application of special procedures, public notice procedures, supervision procedures and bankruptcy and debt repayment procedures of enterprise legal persons.
